Overview

The goal of the Emerging Scholars Mentoring Program is to encourage students to become thought leaders and life-long learners who actively contribute their unique talents for the betterment of humankind. Students will learn to recognize their capabilities and unlock potential by receiving firsthand experiences with local mentors and scientists engaged in active research. The environment created by the mentoring program should liberate students to explore, create, challenge, and lead.

Mentoring Program Description (Example)

  • Participate in introductory session
  • Attend emerging science symposiums (3 per quarter)
  • Five in person meetings with mentor per quarter
  • Social network interactions
  • Contributing ideas to global scientific movement.
  • Multimedia project demonstrating experience and knowledge gained from the mentoring program.
